Chicago’s DMK Burger Bar is hatching plans for a major franchise expansion — and the Milwaukee area is on the list of markets the company hopes to enter.

About DMK Burger Bar

DMK Burger Bar, which currently has five locations in the Chicago area, serves up a variety of burger creations in casual, counter-service dining atmosphere. In September, it launched its franchising program and wants to open three to four eateries in greater Milwaukee as the chain seeks to expand in the Midwest, the restaurant company told the Milwaukee Business Journal.

burger-franchise-dmkDMK is looking at areas including Milwaukee, Wauwatosa and Bayshore Town Center in Glendale as sites for possible franchise expansion. The firm hopes to have its first franchise partner in the Milwaukee area secured within the next few months, with at least one store open sometime in 2018.

In addition to the Milwaukee area, DMK said Appleton and Madison are other Wisconsin communities it would like to expand to with franchises; the company would also consider places like Door County and Green Bay.

“As the state continues to grow, we want to grow with it and will consider other markets as well,” said David Grossman, a partner in DMK Burger Bar.

DMK emphasis high-quality ingredients, the company said, using grass-fed meat for its burgers and serving up hand-cut russet potato fries. In addition to beef, veggie burgers and other options, turkey and salmon are also available for diners to choose from on its menus.
