In an interview with FranchiseInterviews, Franchise Guru, David Grossman, of DMK Burger Bar sat down and discussed how the company was started, what led to the success of our delicious burger franchise, franchising as a whole, and more.
DMK was founded by David Morton and Michael Kornick, in their search to find an excellent burger. David Morton, son of the founder of Morton’s Steakhouse, has restauranteuring in the family, and knows the ins and outs of the business. Michael Kornick, who is an award-winning chef, worked with David to start the concept, and thus DMK (David Morton, Michael Kornick) was created.
They traveled across the country to see what ingredients and techniques they could incorporate into their burgers, fries, and shakes to create the optimal menu with perfect flavor and quality food. David Grossman introduced the franchising aspect, and now DMK has a streamlined process to make the concept accessible to others. DMK, with its proven quality and taste, was a hit in its initial location of Chicago, and has now become a success in different locations of the state of Illinois, and will continue to expand nationwide!
