Q&A with DMK Burger Bar Franchisee Carolyn Michael
DMK Burger Bar has spent nearly a decade developing and fine-tuning our operating platform, which consists of tools and processes for nearly everything involved in successfully owning and operating a DMK Burger Bar. We take great pride in the system we’ve built – it sets each one of our franchisees up for success.
But don’t take it from us. Check out this Q&A with our franchisee Carolyn Michaels, who owns and operates a DMK Burger Bar in Oak Brook Center, an upscale shopping center in Oak Brook, Illinois.
How does your professional background play a role in your restaurant?
I am an entrepreneur who has had several small general merchandise shops – I was, and still am, a real estate broker and developer. I also own two Freshii franchises. While I didn’t know too much about the restaurant industry prior to opening my Freshii franchises, my business knowledge and background has helped me in the running of my DMK Burger Bar franchise. The training and support that DMK has provided me has been more than adequate to continue running this restaurant efficiently.
Why did you want to become a DMK franchisee?
I know David Grossman from my Freshii franchise and I followed him blindly to DMK. I have the utmost respect and trust in him. David Morton and Michael Kornick speak for themselves – the knowledge and background they have is unsurpassed.
How does the culture of DMK Burger Bar align with your values?
DMK is synonymous with the quality of product and the people involved. I got involved not only because I love the food and ingredients, but also because of my trust in the people who personify DMK.
